Review of the Transcoop09-Dispatcher-Gathering June 2018

As it has been every year for about ten years, dis­patchers from Transcoop09 mem­ber com­pa­nies get toge­ther for a fun­fil­led and enjoya­ble mee­ting. Each year the gathe­ring takes place in a dif­fe­rent loca­ti­on wit­hin Ger­ma­ny and aims to bring dis­patchers from mem­ber com­pa­nies in a casu­al and fun­fil­led envi­ron­ment toge­ther in order to net­weirk and exchan­ge expe­ri­ence. For this year’s event an old­ti­mer ral­ley in and around Ulm took place.

Johann Strauss GmbH

Johann Strauss GmbH, based in Pet­ten­bach Upper Aus­tria, is a medi­um-size fami­ly-run freight for­war­ding com­pa­ny. Strauss has been suc­cess­ful­ly ope­ra­ting for over 85 years and cur­r­ent­ly employs 75 people.

Ser­vices
With around 45 trucks and 70 trai­lers – from exten­d­a­ble plat­form trai­lers and con­tai­ner chas­sis to tar­pau­lin trai­lers- the goods are trans­por­ted safe­ly and on sche­du­le. Fur­ther­mo­re, spe­cial and hea­vy load trans­port up to 50 to, 4.5 m width and 3.4 m height are car­ri­ed out.
In addi­ti­on to local and long-distan­ce trans­port, Strauss ope­ra­tes a con­tai­ner tra­de / con­tai­ner ren­tal and a wareh­ou­se ren­tal busi­ness, and offers sea­wor­thy packa­ging on con­tai­ner sled­ges and con­tai­ners sto­wa­ge. The com­pa­ny also has a Mobi­le Cra­ne divi­si­on and main­ta­ins con­tract busi­ness with a part­ner from the oil dril­ling indus­try. Sub­si­dia­ries in the Czech Repu­blic and Roma­nia com­ple­te the com­pa­nies ran­ge of services.

A sta­te-of-the-art equip­ped fleet, per­so­nal com­mit­ment and per­fect logistics gua­ran­tee the custo­mer maxi­mum fle­xi­bi­li­ty and opti­mum safe­ty. The fleet is con­ti­nuous­ly adap­ted to the latest trans­port requi­re­ments. Johann Strauss GmbH aims to con­tri­bu­te to the reduc­tion of envi­ron­men­tal pol­lu­ti­on. The purcha­se of a gas-powred truck and the instal­la­ti­on of a fuel moni­to­ring sys­tem ser­ve to recon­ci­le eco­lo­gi­cal, envi­ron­men­tal and soci­al responsibilities.

The Name Says It All
When you are active in the logistic sec­tor, you do not necessa­ri­ly only encoun­ter the big ones. As a mat­ter of cour­se gene­ral and logistics mana­gers of medi­um size com­pa­nies have always been forced to lower their logistics costs and pro­vi­de relia­bi­li­ty as a mini­mum requi­re­ment. Over a time of 75 years, based in Aich­hal­den with a sub­si­di­a­ry in Vil­lin­gen-Schwen­nin­gen, Schee­rer Logis­tik has deve­lo­ped from a clas­si­cal freight for­war­ding com­pa­ny to a broad-ran­ge, mid­si­zed logistics ser­vice pro­vi­der with sound pro­fes­sio­nal exper­ti­se and exten­si­ve port­fo­lio. We use 30 modern and well-equip­ped ref­ri­gera­tor trucks and semi­trai­lers for the trans­port of all types of goods under all types of tem­pe­ra­tu­re-con­trol­led conditions.
